What is PraBeacon, exactly?
It’s my little corner of the internet where I write about building a career, a business, and a family — sometimes all in the same afternoon. Productivity, AI tools I actually use, money, parenting mid-workday, the small systems that help… until they don’t. Think less “magazine,” more “friend who happens to write things down.”
Are you an expert? Should I follow this advice like it’s gospel?
Nope, and that’s kind of the whole point. I’m a working mom of two, doing this from home with no nanny and no extra hands, figuring it out as I go. What you’ll get here is what’s actually working for me, what’s failing spectacularly, and what I’m learning along the way. Take what’s useful, skip the rest — you know your life better than I do.
What topics do you actually write about?
Basically whatever fills my day: AI tools that earned a permanent spot in my routine, working while keeping a toddler entertained, apps that track my baby’s meals without me losing it, career and productivity systems, money basics, and the habits I’m trying to build (or finally quit). If it’s something a working parent is Googling at 11pm, it’s probably fair game.
How often do you post?
I’m building this around real life, not a content calendar carved in stone — so it’ll be steady, just not robotic. Follow along on social or check back now and then. A newsletter might be coming too — watch this space.
Can I use the AI tools and tips you mention even if I’m not a parent?
Totally. Most of what I write about — productivity systems, AI for everyday work, career and money decisions — works whether or not there’s a toddler involved. The parenting stuff is just my lens, not a requirement to read along.

Honestly? Not perfectly. Most of what works for me isn’t one big system — it’s a handful of small ones: batching similar tasks, using AI to cut drafting time in half, and letting go of the idea that everything gets done every day. Some things wait. That’s allowed.
What are the best productivity apps for busy parents?
Depends what you’re solving for. A simple task app you’ll actually open beats a fancy one you’ll abandon in a week. I write about the specific tools in my rotation — the ones that survived contact with an actual toddler — rather than generic “best apps” lists.
How can I work from home with a toddler around?
Short bursts, low expectations, and a very generous definition of “good enough.” I don’t pretend it’s seamless. Some days I get a real stretch of focus; other days I answer emails one-handed. Both count.
What AI tools are actually useful for moms or busy professionals?
The ones that save you time on the boring parts — drafting, summarizing, planning — so you can spend your energy where it matters. I write about what I use in real workflows, not just what’s trending.
How do you balance a career and family without burning out?
I’m not sure “balance” is the right word — some weeks it’s 80/20 one way, some weeks the other. What helps more than balance is having a few non-negotiables and being okay dropping everything else.
What are some simple money habits for working parents?
Nothing exotic — automating savings, tracking spending without obsessing over it, and making decisions before you’re tired and stressed, not during. I write about the basics because the basics are what actually get skipped.
How do you start a blog or newsletter while working full-time with kids?
Slowly, and without waiting for the “perfect” system. I started writing in whatever pockets of time existed, not on a schedule I’d inevitably break. If you’re thinking about it, that’s basically permission enough.
