Privacy Policy
Most people skip privacy policies. Honestly, I get it. So I’ve tried to write this one the way I would actually explain it to you in person, in simple and plain language and no legal fog.
We collect only what we need to run this site and make your experience better, like your email if you subscribe, and some basic analytics on how people use the site. We never sell your data. We work with a handful of trusted tools (email, analytics, that sort of thing) to keep PraBeacon running, and we name them below. And if you ever want to access, correct, or delete your data, just ask.
1. Who we are
PraBeacon (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a digital publication covering technology, work, career, and everyday life. This policy covers how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit [website URL], subscribe to our newsletter, or interact with us in any other way.

What you give us directly
- Your name and email, if you subscribe to our newsletter or reach out to us
- Whatever you write, if you fill out a contact form or email us
- Comments, if commenting’s enabled
What we collect automatically
- Basic analytics: pages you visit, time on site, device and browser type, and roughly where you’re located (city or country level, based on IP address)
- Cookies and similar tech (more on that in Section 5)
We don’t knowingly collect sensitive information such as financial details, health data, government IDs, none of that. And we do not collect data from anyone under 18. PraBeacon is not directed at children.
3. How we use your information
- To send the newsletter or content you signed up for
- To respond when you write to us
- To understand what’s actually useful, so we write more of that
- To improve the site and fix what’s broken
- To meet legal obligations, where they apply
We don’t use your data to make automated decisions that carry legal or similarly significant weight for you.
4. When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do share limited data with a small number of service providers who help keep PraBeacon running:
- Email/newsletter platform to send you subscriber communications
- Website hosting provider to keep the site up
- Analytics provider to understand traffic, in aggregated form wherever we can manage it
Each provider only gets what it needs to do its job, and its own privacy and security obligations bind each. We might also share information if the law requires it, or to protect PraBeacon’s or our readers’ rights, safety, or property.
5. Cookies
We use cookies (small files stored on your device) for:
- Essential functions, like remembering your preferences
- Analytics, to understand how people use the site
- Newsletter sign-up tracking, where relevant
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings whenever you like. Just know that turning some off might affect how the site works.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your data
- Withdraw consent by unsubscribing from the newsletter
- Object to certain uses of your data

We keep your information only as long as we actually need it. Subscriber data sticks around until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; analytics data is generally kept in aggregated form.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, like secure hosting, restricted access to personal information, and the usual precautions. No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously, and we keep reviewing how we do things.
9. Third-party links
We sometimes link to outside websites, tools, or apps in our content. We can’t vouch for their privacy practices, so it’s worth checking their own policies if you’re curious.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy now and then, as PraBeacon grows or as laws change. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top and for anything significant, we’ll let subscribers know directly.
